About the HEART Coalition

According to recent statistics, Stanislaus County has high hospitalization rates associated with heart disease and strokes. Risk factors leading to the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD) include:

  • Hypertension
  • High blood cholesterol
  • Smoking
  • Overweight
  • Diabetes
  • Physical Inactivity
  • Stress
